Family-owned distributor is looking to hire a Controller with thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls. In this role, you will establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the institution’s assets, liaise with external auditors during financial audits, manage/review accounts payable/receivable transactions, analyze variances, perform budgeting tasks, provide financial analysis, collaborate with other departments and stakeholders across the institution to support financial needs and objectives, and advise management on needed updates per legislations. We are looking for a candidate who can drive cash generation, improve financial accounting systems, and provide management with the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.Major Responsibilities· Review and manage accounting operations· Oversee and review daily and month end close transactions· Perform financial analysis· Cash Flow Reporting· Budgeting & Forecasting· Manage monthly/quarterly and year-end closing· Prepare monthly, internal financial statements· Monitor software enhancements· Provide financial leadership· Internal Control Monitoring· Assist with internal/external audit· Comply with local, state, and federal regulations· Stand-in for upper management when needed
