Based in the Framingham, Massachusetts area, this opening for a Controller is a permanent position.What you get to do every day- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective- Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
