Municipal Governance in Alameda is seeking an exceptional Procurement Contracts Manager to cover a 6-month leave of absence. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of HUD (United States Department of Housing and Urban Development) procurement experience and/or have worked extensively within a public sector procurement team. Duties for this role include managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), drafting and reviewing agreements, and providing assistance throughout the procurement process.This role temporary role requires candidates to report onsite in Alameda 5 days a week! Responsibilities and Duties:Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations.Coordinate administrative and programmatic work related to procurement activities.Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from inception to completion.Draft and review agreements, ensuring legal compliance and organizational interests protection.Implement quality control procedures in line with Government Administration guidelines.Assist in developing departmental goals, objectives, and policies.Plan, oversee, and administer department-specific programs and projects.Provide training and support on procurement processes and procedures.Serve as a liaison to stakeholders, resolving inquiries related to programs and services.Contribute to the development of new programs and systems, analyzing data for recommendations.Conduct analytical and operational studies on departmental activities.Prepare and submit reports, resolutions, and correspondence.Collaborate on administrative and support services, including contracts and agreements.Maintain accurate records and files, developing storage and retention schedules.Assist with community events and outreach programs.Participate in interdisciplinary committees and represent Government Administration to stakeholder groups.Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and the public.
