Nick Pignato with Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchaser position. The Purchaser will negotiate contracts with vendors for the best price and value on new products and services. This may be the role for you if you are an experience purchaser with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills.What you get to do every day- Engage with staff and other stakeholders at meetings- Keep records of purchased products up to date- Examine purchased products upon delivery and note any issues- Research and analyze potential services, vendors, and products, with the goal of getting the best price and quality- Meet with vendors and clients to negotiate contracts- Visit exhibitions, shows, and events in order to view new products and network with vendors- Analyze costs and write reports on purchases made- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams, making sure that goods are received on time- Write orders to refill stock as appropriate from monitoring inventory
