Robert Half is Hiring a Billing Analyst Near Los Angeles, CA

We are inviting applications for the role of Billing Analyst in the legal industry based in Los Angeles, California. This role involves comprehensive administrative tasks, including issuing prebills, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and managing collection processes. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity that also requires the use of various accounting software systems and CRM tools.Responsibilities:• Issue prebills and monitor their status, ensuring completion each month• Respond to attorney requests by modifying prebills as necessary• Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and staff to finalize bills• Handle collections for billing attorneys, which may involve resolving client issues• Create new billing formats as required by specific situations• Track and manage accounts payable and receivable related to assigned clients• Enter hard and soft costs or disbursements into the accounting system• Apply and monitor retainer funds as directed by attorneys and clients• Review engagement letters and billing guidelines for assigned clients• Enter special billing requirements into the accounting system and track compliance• Follow up on client evergreen retainers and communicate with clients to obtain expected payment dates• Participate in collections discussions with management to identify collection issues• Monitor E-bills to track the approval process and set up E-Billing for assigned clients• Participate in the month-end close process and take on special projects and reporting tasks as needed.
