This Assistant Controller position is a short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity and is based in Wichita, Kansas.What you get to do every single day- Conduct treasury functions to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner and cash forecasts are accurate- Supply external monthly and quarterly reporting packages to Board meeting decks- Play an active role in the development of the accounting team by assisting in staffing, performance management, and training- Ensure account reconciliations/analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts are properly prepared and maintained- Support the Company with technical accounting GAAP mentorship and external reporting- Supervise financial executive package and control book on a monthly basis, ensuring it includes budget to actual comparisons by departmentOther responsibilities may also include participating in system improvements, impromptu analyses, and special projects as assigned- Uphold policies for reporting and accounting- Take on coordination and leadership over external financial auditsFinish month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, as well as financial statements
