We are in search of a meticulous and dynamic Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the media industry. This role is based in WILLOUGHBY, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for credit and collection activities, maintaining accurate customer records, and other accounting tasks. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Set up new customers in the advertising system and make necessary changes to accounts such as address, phone number, customer type, etc.• Perform customer credit analysis as needed and initiate collection dunning letters.• Mail copies of A/R statements and any statements that require tear sheets or affidavits.• Work on the Unapplied Payment Report by identifying where payments should be applied on customer’s accounts and apply the payments in a timely manner.• Handle returned mail and determine why it was returned and where it should be resent.• Research and reconcile customer accounts.• Seek approval to send final demand requests to customers and send accounts to a third-party collection agency when necessary.• Assist with incoming phone calls.• Place customer accounts on a credit stop status and also remove the credit stop status. Communicate these account status changes to the field.• Release ads so they can be published in online and printed publications.
