Our client is a dynamic manufacturing company located in the NorthTowns and are seeking an Accounting Manager. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial data. You will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring daily cash flow, and preparing forecasts to support informed decision-making by the management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Key Responsibilities:Month-End Close:Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and reconcile accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.Balance Sheet Reconciliations:Maintain and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other key accounts.Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process.Cash Flow Management:Monitor daily cash flow activities, including cash receipts, disbursements, and cash forecasts.Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash management and liquidity while minimizing risks.Financial Forecasting:Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.Team Leadership and Development:Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Mentor and develop staff, providing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.
