Robert Half is working with a local nonprofit who is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their finance and accounting team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. This job is a a permanent opportunity in the Tacoma, WA area and is fully onsite.Responsibilities:Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries.Perform accounts receivable duties, including invoicing, billing, and collections, to ensure timely receipt of payments.Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including entering data into the accounting system and generating reports as needed.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support overall departmental goals and objectives.Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.Salary and Benefits:Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000Insurance: Medical, Vision, Dental; Basic Life, AD& D, and Long-Term Disability; Health Care FSA; and Dependent Care FSA may be available to employees, subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plan.Retirement Plan: Retirement Plan: Offers an employer and employee contributed 403(b) plan, up to a 7.5% employer contribution subject to the terms of the plan documents and employee eligibility.Vacation: Employees receive 23 days of paid vacation per year in fiscal years 1-5 and 30 days of paid vacation in fiscal years 6 of service.Paid Sick Leave: Employees may receive 116 hours of paid sick/wellness leave per year.Paid Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year.Other Benefits: EAP (Employee Assistance Program), Tuition Assistance for employees seeking advanced degrees, Professional Development opportunities, and more!
