We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-time Accountant to join our team on a long-term temporary basis. As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This would be 20-25 hours per week, and could go to 2 days a week once trained up.Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.Coordinate and assist with the annual budgeting process, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and recording of financial transactions.Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary to ensure compliance and efficiency.Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully mentoring and developing staff.Flexibility to work part-time hours and willingness to commit to a long-term temporary position
