Roami is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Orleans, LA

Here at Roami in New Orleans the Operations Manager position is a crucial part of our team in managing our Housekeeping & Guest Service teams to ensure our guests have a memorable experience by doing whatever it takes to provide a problem-free stay!
The primary responsibilities of the Operations Manager will be through superb fieldwork, which includes (but not limited to): maintaining the public areas & condo residences to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests.
The Operation's Manager's performance will be based on your ability to complete tasks efficiently manage and supervise, problem-solve independently, prioritize tasks, implement processes, and communicate effectively.
Additionally, you can expect to do the following during your scheduled shifts:
  • Overseeing general cleaners of guest rooms, public areas and back of the house to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcomed and attended.
  • Retrieve and store lost and found items, and answer inquiries to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting guests with their needs, inquiries, and requests to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Providing information about property facilities and services.
  • Assisting with check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, and addressing guest concerns or complaints. 
  • Act as a point of contact for guests and strive to create a positive and memorable experience for them.
  • Supervise/Oversee Maint & Security team in the absence of City Manager/Market Director.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must be willing to "pitch in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Assisting in other departments if needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
What We're Looking For:
  • At least 2 years Housekeeping leadership work experience is required. Previous Guest Service leadership experience preferred. Hotel and/or Vacation Rental experience strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual - Ability to speak & understand Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability is required.
  • Organized, hardworking, ownership mentality and detail-oriented.
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking.com, Airbnb, Trip Advisor, etc.
  • High energy, bubbly personality and customer service attitude.
  • Must have a service-oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
  • An ability to interact professionally and responsibly with guests, management and vendors.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, who has the ability to work effectively both in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Unintimidated by using mobile apps while in the field for team collaboration and communication (experience with Slack, Google Suite).
  • Flexible schedule and is open to working evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Use of a personal vehicle, valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance are strongly preferred.
