Overview

Join Road Runner Sports as a Content Marketing Manager and use your talents to help us continue to WOW our customers and support our Road Runner Sports Team by developing and disseminating content that adheres to brand messaging, company values and loyalty-building initiatives! The Content Marketing Manager is a key contributor in driving video, influencer/ambassador, blog & story development that supports our integrated marketing initiatives. Responsibilities

Your Warm-Up:

  • Drive outreach and disseminate content directives to our influencer network
  • Build out and lead strategic direction for internal and external ambassador network
  • Lead video strategy & story direction, specifically as it relates to organic
  • Work with outside agencies around video production, ensuring end results meet Road Runner Sports objectives & quality expectations
  • Be comfortable on-screen and able to shoot product reviews & other ad hoc assets as needed
  • Drive the integrated marketing story strategy & ensure calendars are current & disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage and adhere to content & creative development budgets
  • Stay informed, let market & industry trends, SEO & creative inspirations drive future decisions
  • Define content pillar strategies and build out roadmaps to execute objectives
  • Work closely with our SEO team in determining relevant keyword targets for content
  • Map out target audiences/personas & develop content that meets core needs & wants
  • Own project management functions and activity, including documenting and communicating requirements to all partners/stake holders, leading status calls, and leveraging asana or other appropriate tools
  • Develop and maintain an expanded set of KPIs/reporting that measures program effectiveness and delivers actionable insights which inform future planning
  • Create and identify key strategies that not only drive interest and capture new audiences, but maintain & grow relationships with our existing VIP customers
  • Manage budgets efficiently; track spend, and ensure goals are met
  • Lead projects collaboratively across internal & external teams; follow processes, complete project briefs, and meet deadlines
  • Clearly articulates trends, results & strategy; exhibits confidence in presenting to key business leaders and executives
  • Articulates objectives and creative vision in a clear manner to our internal copy, design, and marketing teams
  • Other Duties as required

Your Workout:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Video, or a related discipline preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven success building, owning & executing content roadmaps that align with the company goals and objectives
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create content that is engaging and relevant for our core audience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects among a wide range of internal stakeholders, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of highly engaging creative, video and content based on channel & objective
  • Effective at integrating a brand story and voice into content writing & video deliverables
  • Multi-Channel retailer experience preferred 
  • Knowledge or experience in the fitness/wellness or athletic space ideal but not required
  • Experience working closely with external agencies; keeping them informed of key objectives, priorities, timelines, and budgets as well as provide marketing materials, and asset delivery under deadline
  • Strong editorial and gatekeeping skills regarding content quality and strategy
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and how it influences content development
  • Experience managing the expense report process, accruals, ensuring all vendors adhere to payment terms and approvals meet deadlines
