Road Ranger, a growing multi-state Travel Center company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join us in executing our vision. Working under the supervision of the Store Accounting Supervisor, the Store Analyst will be responsible for reconciling, analyzing and reporting on daily operational activity, and assisting others in improving the accuracy and consistent flow of data from operating units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable across multiple locations and business units using P-Cards, ACH, Wire and Check payment methods
• Ensures all A/P documents and payments are processed, scanned, and stored in accordance with company policy
• Maintains and enforces proper A/P policies, practices, and internal controls to ensure company assets are safeguarded
• Reviews GL distribution of A/P transactions to ensure accounting and reporting accuracy and completed within a timely basis
• Participates in monthly close activities and performs month end reconciliation of A/P Aging Report to the trial balance in collaboration with other members of the AP and Accounting Team

• Maintains the company’s vendor database including set-up, maintenance, periodic reviews and purging terminated accounts
• Assists in researching new vendors, identifying preferred vendors, and streamlining purchasing procedures across multiple payment methods
• Communicates with vendors/contractors to resolve issues and obtain additional information where required
• Timely processes and submits year-end 1099 reports and forms

• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university required, with 5-7 years of experience in a related field/industry
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
• Demonstrated analytical and strong organizational skills
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Demonstrated leadership skills, strong oral and written communication, presentation, conflict resolution skills

• Must be able to pay strict attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize and to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Continuous focus on process improvement
• Prior experience within a construction and or automated AP processing environment is a strong plus
