Rivier University's Office of Human Resources is accepting applications for an HR Specialist. As a temporary HR Specialist, this position plays a crucial role in assisting with timely payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and onboarding new employees. This position is temporary and offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our HR operations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist in Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the HR Associate and HR Assistant on administrative tasks associated with weekly payroll processing.Ensure timely and accurate data entry of new hires and current employees' information into our payroll system.Employee Support and Inquiries: Work closely with the HR Team to address employee inquiries related to payroll, time entry, and benefits.Provide assistance and guidance to employees on payroll-related matters.Standard Operating Procedures: Contribute to creating and updating standard operating procedures to streamline HR processes.Maintain a comprehensive and organized repository of HR-related procedures.System Implementation: Collaborate with the HR Team to support the implementation of new HR and payroll systems.Assist in data migration, testing, and troubleshooting during the system transition.Training and Documentation: Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and actively participate in creating training guides for employees in the new HR and payroll systems.Ensure comprehensive documentation of training materials and procedural updates.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Temporary six months or more. 40 hours per week.
