Rivier University, located in Nashua, New Hampshire, seeks a dynamic leader to join the Athletics department as our Head Coach of Men’s Volleyball. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach will be charged with the administration and oversight of an NCAA Division III volleyball program that participates in the GNAC. This is a full-time position with the additional responsibilities associated with game management and creating a comprehensive student-athlete experience. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes and have a strong commitment to the Division III philosophy and the Rivier mission.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Direct all aspect of coaching varsity men’s volleyball teamRecruit qualified student-athletes in cooperation with Admissions staffPlan and conduct practice sessionsCoach team at all home and away gamesBecome familiar with and adhere to all NCAA and Great Northeast Athletic Conference rulesAssume primary responsibility for first aid when a trainer is unavailableAttend Athletic Awards Ceremony and other department functions as assignedGame Manager when assignedAssist the Director of Athletics with NCAA and GNAC compliance-related itemsAssist with all-conference business as neededAssist with administration of recreation and intramural activities as needed
