Rivier University is Hiring a Public Safety Officer Near Nashua, NH
The Rivier University Department of Public Safety is a progressive agency that provides a comprehensive service to the University community. The Department is committed to the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime, and the engagement and enrichment of our community using Best Practices. The Public Safety team serves as part of the larger Student Affairs division at Rivier University.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Patrol University buildings and grounds to prevent or respond to incidents of theft; vandalism; fire or fire hazards; disorderly conduct; and violation of University traffic, safety, security, or other regulations. Ensure that buildings are locked and unlocked as assigned. Respond to physical plant alarms.Issue tickets for campus parking.Respond to complaints/calls related to possible criminal activity and investigate incident and/or apprehend involved individuals as appropriate.Investigate complaints made by faculty, staff, students, or visitors on campus.Investigate traffic accidents on campus.Respond to calls involving medical emergencies. Administer first aid and/or call for additional assistance as needed.Report security incidents and unusual or hazardous conditions to appropriate officials.Call for and assist local fire and rescue personnel as needed.Assist area police with investigations on campus.Provide security services such as parking and traffic direction, crowd control, for special events. Set up traffic/parking barricades.
