The Confidential Office is searching for our next Dentist to join our team. The Dentist is responsible for each and every patient of the clinic, and performs their duties as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, within the scope of the dental practice he/she is licensed to practice.

Job Summary

Dentists are responsible for diagnosing and treating dental problems and teaching patients how to maintain good oral hygiene.The dentist maintains the dental health of patients by cleaning teeth, correcting bite issues, performing extractions, and performing surgeries. Their duties include diagnosing conditions and communicating with patients about how to best care for their teeth and gums.

Tasks and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) :

  • An in-depth understanding of dental procedures, tools, and diagnostics.
  • Provide appropriate dental treatment within the scope of a general dentist's practice
  • Ensure that all medications, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations are carefully documented
  • Provide oral health education to patients and their parents
  • Oral Health Promotion & Disease Prevention
  • Performing routine extractions and fillings
  • Performs routine, preventative examinations
  • Providing exceptional dental care to patients, including diagnostics, preventative and restorative services as well as surgical procedures.
  • Having experience in creating and coordinating dental treatment plans, as well as educating patients, guardians, and support staff while maintaining patient records according to the requirements of health and safety regulations
  • Prescribe antibiotics and other medications to patients for treatment during procedures to reduce pain.
  • Interpreting X-rays & Diagnostic Tests
  • Monitoring the development and growth of teeth and jaws
  • Shows excellent leadership skills, as well as strong communication skills including motivational interviewing, as well as actively striving to improve the dental office's patient and staff experience.
  • Follows ADA, OSHA, AND HIPAA standards

Qualifications

  • Background in dentistry with proficiency in assessment, treatment, management, and evaluation of dental care
  • D.D.S. or D.M.D. license to practice in the state of Arizona
  • Controlled substance license for the state of Arizona
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Experience in dental practice
