The Director of Social Services assures that appropriate, high-quality clinical management is provided to all RiverSpring Health Plans members in accordance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

The Director of Social Services assures that appropriate, high-quality clinical management is provided to all RiverSpring Health Plans members in accordance with relevant regulations. The Director participates in the direct managerial oversight and supervision to the social services staff in the MLTC Program. The Social Services Director also manages the Medicaid eligibility department, addresses and resolves unpaid Medicaid claims and Medicaid surplus payments issues. Assures that the eligibility department maintains Medicaid benefits for all eligible members and minimizes the time from identification of eligibility to receipt of benefits. The Social Services Director participates in the development of policies and standards for the social work and Entitlement departments. The Social Services Director identifies the continued educational needs of the staff and establishes appropriate in-services. The Social Services Director assures that the staff perform their work, both written and oral, in a professional manner. The Social Service Director assist the VP of Social Services in interviewing, hiring and termination of staff as necessary. The Social Services Director conducts orientation to new staff and provides aggressive disciplinary action when needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have an MSW Degree from an accredited school with 6 years’ experience as a Social worker and at least three years satisfactory management experience (e.g., CHHA, MLTCP or PACE Program. New York State License required.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 Annually
