Summary:

The Laundry Aide provides clean, sanitary and stain-free linens for patients, residents, staff, and treatment centers. Operate large industrial equipment including dryers, iron/press/folder, and other industrial sized equipment. Occasional heavy lifting up to 45 pounds.
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists seamstress by labelling new linens, irons lab coats and documents work.
  • Changes ironer tapes.
  • Cleans work areas and carts; cleans out dryer lint traps.
  • Collects linen exchange carts, builds linen par levels and returns carts to units and documents work.
  • Daily waxing of ironer pads.
  • Hand folds dry linens and documents work.
  • Loads and unloads dryers and operates dryers.
  • Processes towels through towel folder.
  • Processes wet linens through ironer/folder and documents work.
  • Sorts wet and dry linens.
