Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and maintaining efficient insurance operations within our dental office. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance verification, and office administration.

Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Obtain necessary pre-authorizations for treatments
- Accurately code and submit insurance claims using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve any billing issues
- Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing practices
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding insurance inquiries
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Proficient in medical coding, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Knowledge of managed care and insurance verification processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in claim submissions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using office software and electronic health record systems
