River Rock Casino is Hiring a FACILITIES TECHNICIAN III Near Geyserville, CA

STATUS: Full-time/Part-time

FLSA: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Facilities Shift Supervisor/Facilities Manager

SUPERVISES: May Coordinate or direct the work of Facilities Technician I & II

WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment, must be flexible and available to work any shift, weekends and holidays as needed.

SUMMARY: The Facilities Technician III is an advanced journey level class in the Facilities Technician Series, under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor or the Facilities Manager performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled work. The Facilities Technician III is responsible for one or more of the following: maintenance and repair to central system equipment including heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air condition systems plumbing fixtures, kitchen refrigeration and equipment, electrical components and systems, aesthetic building cosmetics and general maintenance and construction as assigned. . .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works under the general direction of the Facilities Engineering Manager or Shift Supervisor;
  2. Works on plumbing systems and fixtures including, but not limited to: sinks, toilets, faucets, urinals, water heaters and piping;
  3. Install, connect and test plumbing fixtures, hydraulics, various gas, steam, and other pressurized systems, pipes and fittings in accordance to plumbing codes;
  4. Ensures that all casino water, irrigation and T-22 plumbing fixtures and filters are in proper repair and maintained in accordance to schedules;
  5. Operate, maintain and repair all HVAC and refrigeration equipment (if certified to properly use, recover, and recycle refrigerants), electrical systems and kitchen equipment;
  6. Maintain and repair dishwashers, waste disposers, grills, hot dog rollers, flat-tops, deep fryers, salamanders, toasters, freezers, refrigerators and other related equipment;
  7. Performs safety inspections on boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, emergency generators, etc;
  8. Operate, maintain and repair computerized central system heating and cooling equipment including, but not limited to: boilers, chillers, valves, air filters, pumps, blowers, fans, belts, bearings, instruments and controls;
  9. Maintain programs, energy management software and building controls and electronics;
  10. Maintain existing electrical systems including, but not limited to: panel boxes, circuit breakers, troubleshoot electrical circuits and components;
  11. Install, maintain, and repair all types of low voltage systems;
  12. Install, repair, replace and troubleshoot all lights, ballasts, fixtures, commercial kitchen equipment, water heaters, and electrical heaters as needed;
  13. Service and maintain gas equipment including, but not limited to: adjustment of pilot lights, gas valves and burners. provides complete service to Air Scrubber/Molitron-type units; Fully maintain dishwashers, waste disposers, grills, hot dog rollers, flat-tops, deep fryers, salamanders, toasters, freezers, and refrigerators, and related equipment;
  14. Creates job scopes for major repairs, gathers competitive quotes for management and coordinates with the necessary contractors and supporting departments;
  15. Maintains warranties, maintenance logs, and accurate files for all casino equipment;
  16. Ensures that appropriate stock levels of maintenance and repair materials are maintained on hand and orders replacements as required;
  17. Completes Work Requests as assigned;
  18. Updates and keeps a maintenance log of all equipment;
  19. Ensures adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures; Deals effectively with all business contacts and vendors;
  20. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy;
  21. Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same;
  22. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures;
  23. Attends all required meetings and trainings;
  24. Maintains confidentiality at all times;
  25. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May coordinate or direct the work of Facilities Technicians I & II.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

  1. Any combination of education and experience that would provide an applicant with the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential job duties listed above.
  2. Must be at a Journey skill level with a minimum four (4) years of hands on experience in two (2) or more of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, commercial kitchen equipment, electrical, HVAC-R, carpentry & construction, vehicle maintenance & repair, landscaping, etc.
  3. Must have hands on and technical knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, and posses EPA Certification for proper refrigerant handling.
  4. Must be familiar with power and hand tools.
  5. Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
  6. Must be able to braze, silver solder and sweat solder piping and fittings.
  7. Prior welding experience preferred.
  8. Prior experience and knowledge commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular building trade preferred.
  9. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  11. Must present professional appearance at all times.
  12. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.

EDUCATION:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required. Additional training in the building trades highly desirable.
  2. Possession of a valid HVAC certification in the proper use, recovery and recycling of refrigerants.
  3. A valid Electrical certification is desirable,

  1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.
  3. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
  4. Must be able to respond to visual, olfactory and aural cues.
  5. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

  1. Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.
  2. Must be able to work in uncomfortable, hot or cold environment, in awkward and cramped positions or on ladders.
  3. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  4. Must be able to work in areas containing high noise levels.
  5. Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  6. Must have manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools.
  7. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
  8. Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
  9. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
