River Oaks Country Club is Hiring a Banquet Server Near Houston, TX
- Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders
- Provide immediate attention to members & guests upon arrival and seating
- Serve members and guests in efficient, attentive and courteous manner
- Follow proper steps of service and plate presentation
- Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with the established dress codes
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Perform set up and breakdown tasks such as removing linen, moving tables, chairs, busing glasses, dishes, silverware and re-setting rooms
- Prepare drinks when necessary
- Experience working as a banquet or restaurant Server for at least 6 months
- At least 18 years old
- TABC & Food Handlers certified ROCC pay for this training, that can be conducted once you start
- Working knowledge of cocktails and wine service
- Possess knowledge of proper service standards and etiquette
- Able to work in hot, humid and inclement weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time and lift items weighing at least 30lbs
- Genuinely cares about people and is available and ready to help
- Is easy to approach; enjoys interacting with our members and guests
- Able to work with a sense of urgency while remaining outwardly calm
- Skilled at active listening, retaining knowledge and acting upon it
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner to members, guests and staff
- Able to work fast and safely; Possess good coordination and balance
