River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Marketing Coordinator!

Experience-based pay ranging from:

$20.00 - $24.00 hourly

Reports to: General Manager

As our Marketing Coordinator, you will create and maintain a positive store image internally and externally through effective and accurate marketing campaigns which attract customers and promote sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve internal and external customers accurately, politely and enthusiastically 
• Treat people with dignity and respect; behave ethically and with integrity at all times and tolerate no less from others
• Initiate, develop and enhance River Market’s brand
• Execute marketing campaigns
• Create and update marketing materials as needed
• Research and propose new marketing opportunities
• Utilize digital resources to create, enhance, and adjust the customer journey
• Produce and contribute to the design of assigned store signage
• Assist General Manager with development of marketing plans
• Make regular progress reports to General Manager
• Attend Management Team meetings
• Attend promotions meetings
• Act as a liaison with community organizations and community events as directed by the General Manager
• Serve as a point of contact for ownership
• Maintain owner database
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Work Environment: 

The work environment for this position is primarily an office-based setting, with many duties also requiring work in a grocer-based setting. This employee must be able to work independently and stay focused in the midst of frequent interruptions. Occasional remote work may be available, dependent on business needs.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be customer service oriented 
• Able to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
• Computer proficiency in: MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Adobe Suite, Mailchimp
• Maintain a valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.

Approximately 95% of the time: Administrative duties, sitting

Constant (67-100%): Talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%): Walking, standing

Occasional (1-33%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist, lifting and reaching waist to shoulder, lifting and reaching above the shoulder
