As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you will be responsible for developing and implementing infection prevention and control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring infection prevention and control policies, protocols, and procedures; conducting infection prevention and control risk assessments; and providing ongoing training and education to staff, patients, and visitors. As a Quality Specialist, you will also be involved in quality improvement initiatives to monitor and improve the quality and safety of care provided. Job purpose
The Infection Prevention RN is responsible to provide monitoring, education, and guidance to River hospital and staff regarding Infection Control, and to ensure that River Hospital is in compliance with regulations and requirements pertaining to Infection Prevention. This position is also responsible to train to back up the Medical Staff Office.
Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NYS License
• Preferred experience with Infection Prevention
• BSN Preferred
• Familiar with agency support availability
