River Edge is looking to fill the position of Payroll Administrator with / our Accounting Department.

In this role you will :

Be responsible for processing weekly payroll, preparing payroll-related reports and tax returns as well as managing the payroll system.

The Payroll Administrator will also process all employee data to confirm how many hours an employee worked throughout a pay period and issue paychecks accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee in the organization.
  • Calculate overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. using computer software.
  • Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system.
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits (vacation, sick leave, etc.)
  • Administer statements of payment to employees either electronically or via paper.
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees.
  • Build and run payroll reports as needed.

You will need :

  • HS diploma / GED.
  • At least 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience including year-end process.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment law.
  • Knowledge of payroll software / attendance systems.
  • PC proficient; knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Acceptable background check / drug screen.
  • Acceptable references.

Preferred Qualifications : Associate / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Human Resources from an accredited college or university
