River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for processing weekly payroll, preparing payroll-related reports and tax returns as well as managing the payroll system. The Payroll Administrator will handle all aspects related to ensuring personnel receive the correct compensation in a timely manner. The Payroll Administrator will also process all employee data to confirm how many hours and employee worked throughout a pay period and issue paychecks accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee in the organization.
  • Calculate overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. using computer software.
  • Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system.
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits (vacation, sick leave, etc.)
  • Administer statements of payment to employees either electronically or via paper
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees.
  • Build and run payroll reports as needed.
You will need:
  • HS diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience including year-end process.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment law
  • Knowledge of payroll software/attendance systems
  • PC proficient; knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Acceptable background check/drug screen
  • Acceptable references
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate/bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or Human Resources from an accredited college or university.
