Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club. River Crest offers an excellent Compensation & Benefits Package as well as a great work environment. The pay range for this position is $16 - $21 per hour based on verifiable experience. JOB SUMMARY The Banquet Cook will be responsible for our entire banquet and buffet culinary operations for the club. The position will prepare food for all of the clubs' "to go" orders, private functions, parties, weddings, charity events and large scale events. The Banquet Cook will prepare the clubs' weekly themed buffets and the salad bar buffet as well as assist in preparing the daily employee meal. The Banquet Cook works closely with a group of cooks directed by the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef and the Executive Chef. QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years of cooking with preferred background in hotels and clubs
Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions
Must present a neat and clean personal appearance.
Must have timely, reliable attendance.
Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.
High school education or equivalent is required
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Ability to plan, organize and follow all kitchen activities
Must have experience making fruit displays, cheese trays, salad bars, composed and compound salads
Must be proficient in cooking techniques, grilling, saut, broiling, steaming, blanching and basic cooking fundamentals
Must have strong knife skills and must know all the basic knife cuts
Adhere to policies and procedures regarding sanitation and sanitary food handling
Will have a Fort Worth Food Handlers Card
Will meet all sanitation codes and health regulations
Must have a drive to learn more in the position when it comes to cooking

Uphold the highest of culinary standards for our membership and our culinary team
Break down and set up of all banquet functions
Keep area and stations clean and organized at all time
Check the quality of food products at all times
Meet certain time requirement for preparing all food
Follow all faction sheets and timelines
Work with the team and the chef to help you grow into the position
