Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of projects in a manner consistent with company commitments and goals. This includes scheduling resources and coordinating the efforts of project team members to meet deadlines. The Project Manager is also responsible for defining objectives and deliverables and overseeing quality control through project completion.

This is a remote work position.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate details and resources for mergers, office moves, cloud implementations, and other various projects
  • Manage the new client relationship during the implementation and onboarding
  • Effectively apply Rightworks methodology and enforce project standards
  • Provide direction and support to an assigned project team
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and client in a timely and clear fashion
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise and carry out contingency plans
  • Provide internal progress reports during the project
  • Coordinate and ensure successful handoff from Sales to Project Management – work with Sales Engineer
  • Coordinate and ensure successful handoff from Project Management to Service – work with Client Service Manager
  • Facilitate billing reconciliation
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities for all projects, internal and external
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Participate in team meetings in order to contribute to a collaborative team environment

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to resolve conflicting situations
  • Good time management and drive to meet deadlines
  • 3 years exposure to networked systems support
  • A thorough understanding of Rightworks offerings, capabilities and limitations
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 and Server 2012/2016/2019 operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of Citrix/Terminal Services technologies is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Virtual Server technologies like VMware/XenServer/Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3 years Project Management experience
  • Project Management certification (Project , CAPM, PMP) is a plus (not required)
