Job Title: Restaurant Hostess

Salary: $14 to $16 (according to Experience)

As a restaurant hostess, your primary role is to create a positive and memorable experience for restaurant guests. You will be responsible for welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing information about the restaurant's offerings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greeting and Seating: Warmly welcome and greet guests as they enter the restaurant. Inquire about reservations, escort guests to their tables, and ensure they are comfortably seated.

• Reservations Management: Receive and record reservations, maintaining an organized reservation book or electronic system. Confirm reservations and ensure the restaurant's capacity is optimized.

• Menu and Restaurant Information: Provide guests with menus and answer questions about menu items, daily specials, and wine or beverage selections. Make recommendations based on guest preferences.

• Waiting List Management: Keep track of guests waiting for tables during peak hours, providing estimated wait times and ensuring guests are informed of their status.

• Communication with Servers: Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure a smooth guest experience. Alert servers when their assigned tables are ready and convey any guest requests or special requirements.

• Sanitation and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized hostess station, ensuring menus, reservation materials, and waiting areas are neat and well-maintained.

• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, friendly, and responsive to guest needs and special requests.

• Conflict Resolution: Handle guest concerns, complaints, or seating issues professionally and efficiently. Escalate issues to the manager when necessary.

• Special Events and Promotions: Assist in coordinating and executing special events, promotions, and holiday celebrations if the restaurant offers them.
