Job Title: Restaurant Food Runner

Job Summary: As a Restaurant Food Runner, you play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area. Your primary responsibility is to collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to provide prompt and accurate food service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Food Delivery:

  • Collect food orders from the kitchen and ensure accurate presentation.
  • Deliver food to the correct tables in a timely and efficient manner.

• Communication:

  • Collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to coordinate the timing of food delivery.
  • Communicate special requests or modifications to the serving staff and kitchen team.

• Table Organization:

  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed.
  • Ensure that tables are properly set with necessary utensils, condiments, and other dining essentials.

• Guest Interaction:

  • Provide friendly and professional service to guests during food delivery.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and accommodate any additional requests.

• Quality Control:

  • Inspect food orders for accuracy, temperature, and presentation before delivering to guests.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the kitchen or serving staff promptly.

• Supporting Serving Staff:

  • Collaborate with servers to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  • Assist in refilling water glasses, clearing empty plates, and addressing any guest needs.

• Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:

  • Follow proper hygiene and sanitation practices in handling and delivering food.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina to carry trays and move swiftly between the kitchen and dining area.
