Ridgway Law Group P.S. is Hiring a Remote Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary:
A Seattle law firm is seeking to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be willing to start part-time for 24 to 28 hours, four days per week, Monday - Thursday. The firm will review the individual after 120 days, and the position could be updated to full-time with benefits.

Key Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

Calendar attorney appointments, court hearings and other case related deadlines

Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper and electronic filing system.

Meet via Teams with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to talk about case details.

Perform detailed intakes with potential clients.

Filing pleadings and other filings with court clerk.

Helping prepare for court proceedings by proofing documents, organizing exhibits, and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as accounting, Guardianship and Trust Accounting

Assist our attorneys to prepare pleadings and other legal documents. Prepare drafts of documents for attorney review. Proof attorney prepared document.

Coordinating communications between other parties, including delivery of subpoenas and other documents.

A successful candidate will have:

Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training or an associate degree in paralegal studies. It may be substituted by experience.

Experience in probate law preferred.

Knowledge of probate, estate planning, guardianship, and trust documents

Working knowledge of Washington superior court civil rules and local rules

Experience with litigation management software, TABS3

Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work with highly emotional clients who find themselves in a stressful family litigation situation.

Use of King County Superior Court ECR system or electronic records system for another Washington State county.

Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 32 per week
