Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. The head of housekeeping will be our main housekeeper and do the majority of the cleaning. We will also have a part time housekeeper. As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. Your attention to detail and strong leadership skills will ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Duties
- Manage a team of housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure that all guest rooms and common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require attention or improvement
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns regarding housekeeping services
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain a safe working environment for staff by enforcing proper safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of custodial and industrial cleaning techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests
- Knowledge of floor care techniques is a plus
