Provide safety, comfort and a healthy environment to Conference Center and Camp guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Front Gate: Provide general information and customer service at entrance gate; maximum coverage when guests are on property
• Maintain the point of control to tactfully deter and discourage unsafe or inappropriate activities on Ridgecrest property
• Provide crowd and traffic control as needed
• Car and foot patrol on/off campus to insure safety
• Follow procedures for the following: gates open/closed, reset circuit breakers, cemetery patrol, fire alarms
• Provide first aid, investigate, and report guest accidents
• Report guest vehicle accidents to Highway Patrol
• Secure buildings: locking/unlocking

Requirements

• Written and verbal communication;
• Customer-oriented and public relations skills
• Computer skills
• Knowledgeable in areas of fire codes, safety, OSHA regulations
• Able to perform under high levels of stress
• Organizational skills

Education, Work Experience, and Other Qualifications

• High school graduate and two year business tech (or equivalent in experience)
• Must be first aid/CPR certified and Blood borne trained
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Able to work outdoors in variable climates
• Must have ability to lift 50 lbs with a range from floor level to above shoulder height
• Walking and standing on concrete floors for a period of up to two hours
• Free range of motion including twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing on step ladders
• Must possess the ability to use hand and power tools, normal vision, hearing and sense of smell.
• Subject to after-hours calls
