Rider Express Inc. is Hiring an Office Assistant Near El Monte, CA

About us

Rider Express Inc. is a small business in El Monte, CA. We are professional and our goal is to We are a trucking company located in Southern California. Our coverage includes local delivery in the SoCal area (including weekly and biweekly routes) and delivery to and from the Bay Area (two to three times a week). We also provide appointment delivery service to Amazon fulfillment centers in the area. For local routes, our services include both air shipment pick-ups as well as ocean shipment pick-ups from all major CFS warehouses in the area. We are mainly a business-to-business, company-to-company trucking company, and thus we rarely pick up residential shipments. Any special circumstances or special shipments can call in or email us for a quote. Additionally, we own and operate a warehouse at our company location in El Monte, CA, where we provide transloading services, which involve ocean containers shipped to our warehouse, where we unload and prepare the shipment for shipping/storage. We also provide warehouse storage. .

Our work environment includes:

  • Modern office setting
  • Food provided

REQUIRED: English and Chinese (Mandarin). You will have to read documents that are in Chinese.

Responsibilities:
- Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence
- Organize and maintain files and documents in both physical and digital formats
- Assist with data entry and order entry tasks
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
- Provide general clerical support to the office staff
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in proofreading and data entry
- Familiarity with order entry processes
- Ability to file documents accurately and efficiently
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience working at a front desk or in an office setting is preferred

Salary: 18 /hour (DOE)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
