Ride North is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Escanaba, MI

Ride North is looking for a Sales Manager, (for the future location in Escanaba area opening later this year), that is capable of creating a great team atmosphere while selling our amazing products. What you will do: 

  • Hiring and training of all sales personnel: This includes all Sales and F&I Staff. Training will include fully illustrating the sales process, emphasizing customer service.
  • Following/Meeting financial and operational objectives for the Department in conjunction with ownership and the Sales Director.
  • Using Spiff Money Weekly to engage, motivate, and promote production of staff consistently! A
  • Ensuring that there is an adequate amount of trained sales staff available during business hours
  • Responsible performance evaluations , and disciplining employees if not remaining in line with policies.
  • Ensuring the Victory Log System is completely utilized by every sales team member EVERY DAY. This includes but is not limited logging at least 7 FULL contacts per day and performing all outbound calls scheduled for the day (all birthdays/anniversaries)
  • Conducting Product Training Sales Meetings (approx 1 hr.) and Motivational Sales Meetings (approx 10 min.). Daily meetings are to be positive and productive, illustrating what we did right the day before and setting the mood/plan for the coming day. During these meetings the Guest Register and previous write-ups will be reviewed. These meetings will be used as a training session to continue to sharpen the skills of the Sales staff. The Finance Manager will be included in all sales meetings. No discipline will occur during these meetings.
  • “Setting the Floor” Every Day BEFORE the 1 Customer Walks through the door (9am) – Music is on, loud, and appropriate; Inventory is displayed attractively; Signage is out and fresh; Salesman have their best attitude on; Balloons are up, food is out.
  • Completing and updating the Motivator Boards. Additionally, the Sales Manager will determine new and different ways (games, spiffs, incentives, etc.) to continue to motivate the sales staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining/creating relationships with local clubs and organizations and attending club meetings and/or delegating a sales team member to do so.
  • Responsible for directing the sales process flow from beginning to end, including setting the price for all units and desking all deals.
  • Sales Manager will approve, with signature, all deals prior to going to F&I.
  • Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring the turn-over of customer to P&A for accessories and Service for their first service form they are closed in F&I.
  • Sales Manager must arrange for coverage by the Finance Manager or Sales Director before leaving the sales floor or taking time off.
  • The Sales Manager will be the only authorized person to initiate the set-up and/or PDI of a new major unit. Sales Manager will also initiate reconditioning of used inventory in preparation for sale.
  • Ensure that units new or used are repaired, reconditioned, set up and .
  • Ensure used units purchased or taken as trade are ACV’d to fair market value, if necessary.
  • Controls major unit inventory, including product ordering with ownership and Sales Director, and supervising age of inventory.
  • Ensures adequate stock of brochures and point of purchase materials.
  • Initiates and delegates call backs from Guest Register.
  • Responsible for showroom housekeeping, being sure that all products are displayed creatively and that displays are changed Bi-Weekly to keep customer interest per dealership guidelines. All indoor units need to be clean and free of dust, fingerprints, etc.
  • The Sales Manager will directly supervise the Finance Manager. He will ensure that all paperwork is being properly prepared and disclosed and that all customers are serviced satisfactorily and offered products according to the 300% rule (100% of the product to 100% of the people 100% of the time). All compliance guidelines MUST be followed. No exceptions.

What qualifications you must have: 

  • Highly Organized with a predisposition towards systematic processes without deviation
  • Team Management and Decision making skills
  • Highly Computer Literate with experience in mainstream office software products
  • Excellent Customer service and Solid Communication Skills
