RHEUMATOLOGY ASSOCIATES is Hiring a Phlebotomist Near Dallas, TX
We are currently looking for Phlebotomists to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately perform venipuncture procedures, explain the procedures to patients and document test results. A successful Phlebotomist will also be comfortable working with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that all patients' needs are met and sometimes be available to cover different locations around the metroplex when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens by venipuncture or syringe.
- Use, maintain, and troubleshoot necessary equipment.
- Maintain appropriate records for specimens.
- Process in-house and Send out Specimens.
- Good computer skills to be able to order labs.
- Help patients relax to make the process easier.
- Adapt to difficulties at work or home, including medical problems.
- Be able to handle feelings of being overwhelmed by work or other life circumstances.
- Be able to deal with patients under difficult circumstances.

Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma/Ged equivalent required
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license or equivalent: Preferred
- Phlebotomy skills
- Skills in the use of computers and related software applications.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
