Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing detailed and complete development packets to initiate new projects via PLM system
• Responsible for working with design counterparts in initiating product developments as directed
• Responsible for working with design counterparts to initiate and establish new product introductions (new product type, product construction, substrate, quality, size, standards, brand approvals)
• Responsible for finalizing the specifications and ensuring QC/DAS standards are established/issued for all products sold to meet necessary deadlines for on-time production shipping to customer
• Responsible for setting up Design Approved Standards for production and sending copies to all necessary parties.

• Responsible for the creation, review, consistency, and keeping accurate record data outside and within the PLM system

• Responsible for facilitating communication in PLM system of sample/fabrication, engraving and strike-off requests, and finally, DAS approvals

• Responsible for reviewing SPECs for general information to confirm all details are clear and all requirements have been covered in PLM

• Ensure product development accuracy against aesthetic and costing parameters and facilitate communication of this information between departments

• Responsible for assisting with data entered by Design Department in PLM and working with assigned Data Librarians to ensure consistency and accuracy of Master Data entered in PLM

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Fibers, Home/Fashion Design, Product Development or related discipline is required
• Minimum of three years of previous experience in product development
• Strong computer skills with working knowledge of PLM system, Microsoft Office programs to include Excel and Adobe Suite to include Photoshop, Illustrator
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in order to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the Company
• Possess basic knowledge of sizing/grading, material substrate and product constructions
• Possess strong organizational and analytical skills
• Possess a team oriented mentality
• Previous experience in successfully handling time sensitive projects and meeting assigned deadlines
• Ability to prioritize work/projects and answer questions related to work assignments in a fast paced environment
• Ability to problem solve as needed
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on a daily basis
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to multi-task on a routine basis, be detail-oriented, adapt plans and change direction as needed, have a proactive mindset and have the ability to perform the job under a moderate to high level of stress
• Vision abilities to include vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and color perception
• Design / color review skills including the ability to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test

Salary $50k to $55k
