REPORTS TO: Director of Operations FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Varies with some early/late shifts and occasional weekends
POSITION SUMMARY: The Transporter will be responsible for following the schedule and transporting clients and/or staff to and from various appointments, classes, meetings and job assignments.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must have the physical ability to enter and exit a vehicle multiple times per work shift and be able to sit in and drive various types of vehicles for extended travel. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach overhead and lift up to 25 pounds; travel and/or attend meetings during and after normal work hours. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Requires up to 6/7 hours of sitting and no more than 2 hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. No significant stooping is required.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will spend most of the day in a vehicle, driving in moderate to heavy traffic. Travel is required during all weather conditions including rain, snow, ice or other conditions which may impair travel safety. Management will determine if conditions warrant cancellation of transportation services.
Mental Demands:
There are a number of daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress to some individuals. The position must deal with clients and staff daily on a variety of issues.
