Restoration Recovery Center is Hiring a PA/NP Near Colfax, CA

Restoration Recovery Center is a small business based in Auburn and Colfax, California. We are nimble and autonomous. Established in May 2017, Restoration Recovery Center is a product of the desire of a group of experienced clinicians who wish to help in the recovery of drug addicts and alcoholics. While there are other services offered for the rehabilitation of these individuals, we feel that we can give more. We are a small-intimate center located in the Foothills of the Sierra Nevada's offering Detox, Residential, PHP, and IOP treatment options. Our culture is built on a collegial team of experienced and qualified clinicians and staff who are passionate in helping others become a better version of themselves. This culture is instrumental in assisting others achieve long-term sobriety by offering treatment options that heal the mind, body, and spirit.

The NP/PA is responsible for the medical assessment, medication monitoring and safety for all clients in the facility.

  • The NP/PA oversees and is responsible for the onsite medical treatment of patients.
  • The NP/PA performs direct services to clients including Initial Psych Evaluation, H&P Assessment, Detox Follow-up Evaluation, Residential Follow-up Evaluation and providing group therapies as needed.
  • The NP/PA’s position is responsible for supervising/signing off on all behavioral health services administered by the medical team.
  • Participation in Initial Detox treatment planning (including prescribing medications) and discharge planning.
  • 2-5 Years of experience in PMHNP practice preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. The NP/PA shall be Board-Certified and licensed to practice in the state of California. The NP/PA will have had training and experience in treating persons with a substance-related disorder and/or mental health disorder. The NP/PA shall work with the Medical Director and Restoration Recovery Center Staff to manage medical care and medications of persons served.
  2. Possess sufficient clinical knowledge to interact with the behavioral health clinician team members of the program.
  3. Have at least 3 years of clinical practice in direct patient care and at least 3 to 5 years in a managed care setting.
  4. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Possess knowledge of the processes of managed care operations and managed care contracting including analytics, risk pool management, and peer-peer utilization case reviews.
  7. Possess knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to the problems of the patients served.
  8. Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
  9. Current T.B. Clearance.
  10. Current DEA License.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Uphold and enforce the agency’s standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct.
  2. The NP/PA will assist the Medical Director with the prescribing detoxification and/or psychotropic medications and over-the-counter medications in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. This includes the titration, altering, and termination of dosages as applicable for clients participating in all care levels offered by Restoration Recovery Center.
  3. The NP/PA is responsible, either directly or through a supervisory relationship with a licensed physician and/or medical liaison, for ensuring that all information obtained during the course of physical examinations, including laboratory results and other diagnostic evaluations is duly recorded in all patient records. This includes that all physical examinations are completed, certifying each applicant’s eligibility for treatment.
  4. The NP/PA will assist with the planning, supervision, and regular review of all medical therapy offered by the program. The NP/PA, in conjunction with the Medical Director, the CEO, the COO, and Program Director, is responsible for ensuring that a 24 hour-a-day emergency contact is available to all program participants and ensure that all staff receive the training and support necessary to meet program standards.
  5. Provide to all clients participating in treatment at Restoration Recovery Center, Health History and Physical examinations, including substance abuse evaluation, DSM-5 diagnosis, presenting problem/chief complaint, and diagnostic impression.
  6. The NP/PA will be available to attend and/or conduct staff meetings as needed.
  7. The NP/PA will provide documented on-going training and education to clients, their families, and personnel providing direct service, training and education regarding medications.
  8. The Nurse Practitioner/PA will provide, as needed, peer-to-peer clinical reviews to managed care third-party insurers.
