Job Description Position Summary: This role develops and delivers interactive tactics that target existing and prospective members to promote sales, member acquisition, onboarding, cross-selling, and retention. This position is for an innovative, creative thinker who endorses ideas that will help differentiate Resource One Credit Union from our competitors in the marketplace. Responsible for developing, producing, and distributing the Credit Union's communications that can be leveraged across multiple channels, including social media, print, and digital outlets. Possesses skills in digital communications, research analysis, and/or e-commerce marketing. Enhances the image of the Credit Union in both digital and local communities. Coordinates and manages public relations activities for the Credit Union. Provides professional graphics, images, and designs for brochures, print advertisements, promotional handouts, signs, direct mail pieces, newsletters, and multimedia presentations. Projects and maintains the Credit Union's professional image. Assists in community events, branch-related events, and other credit union functions. Provides support to the Marketing Team and other departments as needed.
Role and Responsibilities - Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
- Generate, adapt, edit, publish, and share daily and monthly content (original text, images, video, etc.) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action across multiple communication channels, including digital, social, email, and print.
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate data/metrics, insights, and best practices and then acting on the information.
- Develops, implements, and monitors the credit union's digital image through social networks and public feedback sites. Collaborate with other departments and member relations to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
- Manages all promotional materials, marketing supplies ordering, and inventory.
- Manages and oversees the planning, developing, producing, and delivering of public relations events, including meetings and events for the Credit Union.
- Represents the Credit Union at various meetings and events, and actively engages to sell financial products and services.
- Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
- Assists with tracking event finances and prepares a metrics and insights report on all events.
- Ensures that public relations activities are practical and support marketing objectives.
- Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously. Ensures that communications are efficient and effective.
- Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation using the organization's brand voice.
- Coordinates marketing activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors, ensuring projects and tasks are completed on time and as scheduled.
- Attends and supports meetings and activities within the organization as required.
- Stays informed of developments in the marketing field and of markets affecting Credit Union operations and engagement.
- Supports and assists Marketing personnel. Provides backup support as necessary.
- Completes other duties as assigned, including cross-training in current or other departments.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant concerns.
- Ensures the work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
- Creates professional designs and layouts for internal and external materials, including direct mailings, handouts, advertisements, lobby posters, signs, forms, board reports, billboards, etc.
- Assists with marketing innovation. Develops new promotional and marketing ideas.
- Ensures that graphic design activities and written materials support the image and vision of the marketing plan.
- Update all graphic materials and make sure that all materials are accurate and up to date.
- Manages all print media, signage, and media buys. Assists with the creative and innovative development process from concept to completion, including design, copywriting, photography, press releases, etc. Assists with the design and explore multi-channel marketing and sales promotion strategies.
- Works with the marketing team on the inception and development of creative ideas and concepts related to individual campaigns. Provides suggestions, ideas, and support to department personnel.
- Works with marketing staff to coordinate the completion of projects within established schedules and budgets.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Coordinates marketing activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors to complete timely design projects.

Qualifications and Education Requirements - Associate or Bachelor's degree or experience in a related field and/or a combination of experience and training in communications, marketing, advertising, and/or public relations.
- Three to five years of similar or related experience and basic knowledge of Credit Union operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Thorough understanding of market segmentation, marketing principles, integrated marketing communications, public relations, and media processes. Proficiency in MS Office, various marketing applications, software, and media tools.
- Knowledge of graphic design and publishing computer programs. Understanding of pre-press processes, including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typesetting rules, printing options and techniques, commercial and fine art illustrations, and digital image editing.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
