Residence Inn Hotel is Hiring a Front Desk Agent Near Jersey, NJ

We are seeking a friendly, upbeat Front Desk Agent to join our team. If you enjoy greeting people with warmth and friendliness this position may be right for you and we are looking forward to hear from you.

This is a full-time position with competitive benefits package.

As a hotel Front Desk Agent, your primary responsibility is to ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. You'll be the face of the hotel, interacting with guests, answering their questions, and handling their requests.

Here are some of the essential tasks you'll be responsible for:

  • Welcome guests and visitors to the lobby, record their information, and choose a suitable room for them;
  • Answer phone calls and direct guests to other hotel departments or answer inquiries;
  • Handle guest reservations, including collecting contact and credit card information, and advising guests of all fees;
  • Follow up on early check-in and late check-out requests and confirm availability;
  • Coordinate with other hotel staff to resolve any guest problems quickly and efficiently;
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, and room rates;
  • Ensure the lobby, bar, and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy;
  • Address special situations immediately, such as guest accidents or emergencies;
  • File incident reports when necessary;
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions
  • Prior hotel experience in the same position is a plus
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
