Maintenance Person
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing equipment, fixtures, and systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants to ensure a safe and functional environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Fabricate or repair parts as needed using appropriate tools and equipment
- Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors or other maintenance personnel when necessary
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
- Proficient in using CMMS software for tracking and managing maintenance activities
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with staff, tenants, and contractors
- Leadership abilities to supervise and coordinate the work of others
