We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Operations Manager to join our team and lead the charge in optimizing our data operations, particularly in the migration from SQL Server to Snowflake, managing both onshore and offshore teams, and overseeing cloud operations with a focus on AI/ML. This position is expected to be a strong leader but to also be very hands on from a technical perspective. Job responsibilities are as follows:

Database Migration:

• Lead and execute the migration from SQL Server to Snowflake, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime and data integrity maintained.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable and efficient data solutions.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and lead a diverse team of onshore and offshore data professionals.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Cloud Operations:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Work closely with the IT and DevOps teams to optimize and enhance cloud resources, ensuring scalability and reliability.

AI/ML Integration:

• Collaborate with the AI/ML team to integrate data operations seamlessly with machine learning workflows.
• Implement best practices for data handling to support AI/ML model training and deployment.

Performance Optimization:

• Continuously monitor and optimize database performance, implementing improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in successfully migrating from SQL Server to Snowflake.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Previous experience leading and managing teams, both onshore and offshore.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their integration into data operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Team leadership and management experience with both onshore and offshore models
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Financial services industry background is a plus or experience in any highly regulated industry
