The Transformations, Programs and Governance Team is looking for an experienced associate level candidate to join our dynamic team as a Project Manager aligned to JP Morgans Merchant Services business. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering successful projects, ensuring timelines are met, and aligning initiatives with strategic goals. As a Project Manager II– Client Tax Operations in the Transformations, Programs and Governance Team, we’re within the Corporate Investment Bank but serve clients and business partners across several lines of business. Transformations, Programs and Governance Team leads tax programs ranging from Technology Transformations to Regulatory Programs and Continuous Improvement Projects, as well as migrations into and within the utility. In addition, the team is accountable for Tax Governance and Oversight, Relationship Management and Regulatory Change Management. Part of your responsibility will be to provide direction across multiple teams and lines of business for resources involved in program delivery and attend and present at various forums and create various materials/presentations.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex projects, programs and initiatives from inception through to delivery and support the completion of Project Life Cycle deliverables that include documentation of Business Requirements, Design/ Approach, Operating Model, Testing and Production Readiness (as necessary)
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals and act as the bridge between Operations, Technology and Product Development (amongst others)
  • Estimate, design and manage the delivery of scalable solutions including Intelligent Automation and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning aligned to a business strategy.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders at various levels to identify process re-engineering opportunities, create business cases, quantify benefits and identify high priority projects as well as Implement process improvement through adoption and creation of industry tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, and workflow tools
  • Own process discovery to help identify potential process inefficiencies, find suitable solutions and design the Target Operating Model to improve the client experience and achieve strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintaining long-lasting collaborative relationships with stakeholders and apply effective issue escalation management
  • Organize and manage communications with stakeholders and senior managers and assess regulations impacts across the various dimensions (people, process, systems) and implement changes to meet compliance timelines
  • Apply a commercial mindset to deliver efficiently and consistently across teams and the wider organization
  • Provide input into the annual plan process ensuring relevant budget requests are incorporated and use Data Modelling techniques to provide better business intelligence

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5 years’ experience in project management and agile methodology working on technology related projects
  • Understanding of banking products and investment banking
  • Strong organizational skills, design thinking and analytical skills including all Microsoft applications.
  • Delivering innovative solutions that improve client experience and reduce costs to the firm.
  • Detailed oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maximizing quality of service and maintaining a flexible attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, technical, and problem-solving skills as well as good presentation and story-telling skills
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as new age tools of No-Code like Alteryx, UiPath, Pega, Instabase, Tableau and Power BI.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for owning actions
