Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior IT Engineer that will oversee IT business operations, and other computer systems in our organization. This role will work with our team in troubleshooting software problems and implementing new IT business processes. He will be involved in all aspects of the computer systems in an organization, including planning, designing, implementing, troubleshooting, updating, and repairing. He will also be responsible for evaluating and identifying optimal cloud solutions, designing configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures. The Senior IT Engineer should have extensive experience maintaining large-scale computer systems, the ability to project manage, and excellent troubleshooting skills. He can also design and maintain a dynamic and stable system to perfectly meet the needs of the company. This role will include mentorship to other IT team members in the department. This role must have a broad knowledge of technologies and enjoy solving problems, must have excellent communication skills, and keep up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for

• Being the go-to technical subject matter expert for the other departments and IT team. 

• Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.

• Identifying and troubleshooting system problems by acknowledging the problem and its root cause and fixing it

• Identifying necessary improvements to computer systems which includes testing and observing the existing system to identify areas that require development

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot processes to ensure efficient IT business operations in an organization

• Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

• Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.

• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.

• Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.

• Configuring and testing new computer systems to help identify potential problems and observe their level of security

• Documenting work and creating reports

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Collaborate with programmers, developers, and designers to achieve set objectives

• Working with interdisciplinary teams to craft IT solutions

• Communicating complex information to a non-technological audience

• Mentor other IT members. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing.

• 2 years of experience in Google Workspace

• 4 years of experience in AWS, and GCP

• Familiarity with general OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and Office software.

• Familiarity with email protocols.

• Ability to manage projects in Jira or similar products. 

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.

• Knowledge of database and networking security systems.

• Good understanding of IT Security best practices.
