Job Descriptions:
RNG Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance. Maintenance personnel will be assigned to a group of ROC sites; from time to time, maintenance may be required to support ROC operations at more distant locations.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Technicians will perform electrical maintenance, repair equipment as necessary, and troubleshoot issues as they arise while coordinating with co-workers and business partners. Objectives for this position include safety, compliance with applicable regulations, maximizing renewable energy production, and supporting ROC operational systems, equipment, and team members as trained & directed, including:
· Understand, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems.
· Work safely at all times, following company/state/federal safety guidelines.
· Remain current with ROC policies and procedures, including Employee Action Plan, Fire Plan, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures.
· Perform predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for all electrical equipment & systems and record findings in CMMS
· Communicate with managers to ensure effective participation in implementing electrical and safety policies and procedures.
· Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness, fire protection, safety, preservation, and environmental compliance.
· Be on-call, and respond to site needs as quickly as possible. Repair and return the system to production capacity.
· Assist operations during plant upsets and troubleshooting.
· Leave the site in good order, with no debris, tools, or materials left.
· Return unused equipment and parts to stock at the site or warehouse, and update the CMMS system per inventory management guidelines.
Applicable Knowledge/Qualifications/Skills:
· Michigan Electrical License required
· Experience in the troubleshooting, repairing, and replacement of controllers, transmitters, flow meters, sensors, and analyzers.
· Understanding instrumentation and control systems including but not limited to PLC’s and VFD’s.
· Experience in utilizing electrical testing and measurement tools (DMM, Phase Verification, Motor Insulation, Ground resistance)
· Adaptable and flexible to change and integrate with company concepts and policies.
· Follow written and verbal instructions.
· Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors
· Ability to work from engineering drawings and operational manuals to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues.
· Ability to work independently or as a team to analyze problems, develop solutions, and make or recommend sound alternatives
· Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working internal and external relationships
· Knowledge of various software applications, including Word and Excel
· Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E
Basic Training/Experience/Education:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Communicate information effectively in a one-on-one or small group setting to plant employees or outside vendors.
· Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices is beneficial.
· Be creative, self-motivated, organized, and quality and customer-service oriented.
· Must show an electrical knowledge base both through written and practical applications.
· Must be knowledgeable of and comply with OSHA safety regulations, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout; Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Bloodborne Pathogens, Ladders, and Emergency Action Plans.
· Maintain dependable transportation and a valid state-issued driver’s license.
· High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
· Perform work outside, in varying weather conditions, and with possible exposure to leaks of hazardous chemicals.
· Enter and exit confined spaces following established procedures.
· Effectively handle lifting of various objects up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift objects (over 50 lbs.) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Work will be performed near moving mechanical parts.
· Possible exposure to high noise levels.
· Must be available during emergencies or unexpected maintenance events. Must be able to be on-call for night and weekend work as scheduled.

RNG Plant Operators are responsible for the specific RNG site, the process, the equipment, and the results. They monitor the digestion & refining processes, collect/record/communicate information, making changes as needed, and do simple repairs, and other duties, as assigned.

Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
