Renaissance Academy Charter School is Hiring a Math Tutor Near Phoenixville, PA

We are seeking a Math Tutor for the 24-25 academic school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate reading and math lessons cooperatively with classroom teachers for the purpose of ensuring student success and supporting teachers.
  • Instruct student (e.g. individually, small and whole group sessions, etc.) for the purpose of improving their success in math and assessing key concepts and proficiency through defined courses of study.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare data for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
  • Advise parents and/or legal guardians for the purpose of supporting teacher's expectations, developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate district, state and federal records and reports.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
  • 1-on-1 Online Tutoring: connect with an individual student for a highly personalized learning experience.
  • Small Group Classes: meet with small groups for a more collaborative learning experience
  • Assess students’ progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to assist students in need of acceleration
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment
  • Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the school district.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with school staff
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Current valid PA State Certification - preferred
  • Experience working with school aged children - preferred.
  • A passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance various ongoing tasks

(Clearances within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI – Use code (1KG6Q9)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
