Overview:
Aid in procurement by detailing electrical equipment requirements, encompassing transformers, switches, distribution panels, PDUs, cabling, cable trays, and other electrical components, aligning with electrical Code mandates.
Offer electrical engineering insights and technical support regarding design, project scope, equipment acquisition, and more.
During construction, ensure that all equipment aligns with specifications and adheres to the design, verifying that all electrical components, cables, and installations meet industry standards. Also, ensure that all required tests comply with code requirements.
Take the lead in on-site electrical safety maintenance, which includes regular safety inspections for all electrical equipment and power supply infrastructure to maintain a high level of risk management, minimizing the risk of significant equipment/machinery downtime and accidents.
What you must have:
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering focusing on Power Systems is mandatory.
Possession of a Professional Engineer certification is a prerequisite.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project management is required.
Demonstrable professional design expertise spanning 3 to 8 years in medium and high voltage power systems and distribution.
Experience in substation design is preferred.
Proficiency in power distribution equipment, including transformers, switches, power quality, harmonic analysis, short-circuit and arc flash analysis, grounding, and lightning protection, is necessary.
Fluent use of the MS Office suite, AutoCAD, and power system modeling software is expected.
50%-100% travel between data centers is to be expected.
