Region Ten Community Services Board is Hiring a PREVENTION SPECIALIST Near Charlottesville, VA

REQ # 86100002

This is a FLSA non-exempt position in which the incumbent works as part of Prevention Services within the Center for Child and Family Services to provide and implement community-based education and prevention trainings, the State Opioid Response prevention program administration functions, and behavioral health communications in conjunction with Region Ten and community coalitions. The incumbent prepares and/or oversees the preparation of marketing materials, meeting agendas and minutes, prevention program outreach, grant reporting, and other program administrative functions; and is responsible for assuring compliance of all policies and regulations relevant to the DBHDS and SAMHSA and all other regulatory bodies. The incumbent will work with human service agencies, schools, local jurisdictions, industries, and citizen groups to implement evidence-based practices that increase behavioral health wellness by promoting substance use prevention and mental health wellness at the environmental, community, and individual levels. This is a grant funded position. Length of position is dependent on the life of the grant.

Evenings and weekends as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.02 per hour
