Job Title: Barback

Rate: 9/hour ( Tips)

As a barback, you will support the bartending staff in delivering exceptional service to customers. Your primary duties will include restocking bar supplies, maintaining cleanliness in the bar area, and helping with various tasks to facilitate a seamless workflow.

Responsibilities:

1. Restocking and Replenishing:

   • Ensure the bar is well-stocked with liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies.
   • Replace empty kegs, bottles, and containers to avoid disruptions during service.

2. Cleaning and Organization:

   • Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times.
   • Wash glassware and utensils and promptly return them to the appropriate storage areas.
   • Dispose of waste and empty bottles responsibly.

3. Assisting Bartenders:

   • Provide support to bartenders by fetching and carrying items as needed.
   • Assist in the preparation of garnishes and other drink components.
   • Help with pouring and serving drinks during peak times.

4. Customer Service:

   • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
   • Assist customers with inquiries and requests when necessary.

5. Maintenance:

   • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the management.
   • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing kegs and cleaning tap lines.

6. Compliance:

   • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
   • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a barback or similar support role is preferred but not always required.
• Knowledge of basic bar operations and drink preparation is a plus.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions:

• The role may involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
• Irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
